So, CULOTTES have definitely been a trend lately! I’m not sure about everyone else but I’ve been seeing them everywhere! A while back I remember my mother wanted to give me some of her clothes that she didn’t want anymore (In other words – so she can have more space in her wardrobe which is already bigger than mine!). In that pile were culottes and my instant reaction was “NO WAY!” but hey who knew that they were going to be a trend! Ever since that, I was on the hunt to find the perfect culottes in black, white and beige! While adding all these colours of culottes in my online shopping basket, I came across this beautiful blush colour! Absolutely love the colour, length and importantly the material! Definitely didn’t want any that was super thin in material , so thin that it would be see through! Anyways, as you can see below I paired these blush culottes with a White V-neck Camisole from Glue – one of my favourite colour combinations and topped it off with a classic black Hermes Kelly 28 and Black suede heels from RMK! (Yes, my mother would always say when I was younger that the colour of your shoes should always match your handbag). The soft tones of this outfit was perfect for a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne where no outerwear was needed at all!
Completely random but I was actually quite hesitant in starting to wear culottes, as for some reason I felt you could only wear them with heels! I haven’t really tried them with flats but I’ve seen it work on so many people! Definitely want to give them a try, perhaps with sneakers as well (?) so stay tuned!
